While cyclists in Ottawa are calling for segregated bike lanes some people carry on their lives completely oblivious of the needs of cyclists. I spotted this leaf cleaning crew on Lyon Street in Ottawa parked in a clearly marked bike lane. Several cyclists had to detour around these vehicles (and into traffic lanes) to get by them. Obviously education will be needed if Ottawa is to be a more bike friendly city. This sort of wilful behaviour needs to change.
